TOP OF THE MOURNE TRIATHLON MEETING

Dear members,

Plans are well underway for our inaugral olympic distance triathlon on Sunday 25th July 2010, 'Top of the Mourne'. Pete Quinn, race director has done a great job in organising this event in conjunction with David O'Prey. The race will be a swim in carlingford lough, bike in the mournes and run in kilbroney park. We hope that the event will be a great success and really put our club and our race on the triathlon map. We do however need volunteers to help with this mammoth task. There are so many roles that we need assistance with and everyone can play an active part. I have listed below a few of the main roles that we are hoping people will come forward to assist with and these will be allocated at the meeting next week. Please come along and lend a hand, all support is welcome. You will see there is a wide varierty of areas to be covered and we hope club members, family and friends will be able to assist.

The meeting will be held on thursday 11th February 2010 at 7.30pm at the swimming pool. If you are interested in helping and can not make it please let us know asap.

It is envisaged that the following roles will be allocated with 'teams' to assist in each section.

Chief Marshal
Run Organiser
Swim organiser
Bike Organiser

Transition Organiser

Sponsorship-prizes/food/Goody bags

Communication
Presentation and after party

Great name!
Hopefully I'll make it to the meeting AnneMarie, but incase I don't, will you stick me down for one of the teams. We plan to be in Turkey over the 12th holidays so I couldn't take on a real role. We will be home for the 25th though and I'll def marshal or do whatever is required on the day.

I may be 10/15 mins late for meeting. I have a spinning class at 6:30 so will be over straight after that.
